Vision Australia’s new Mobility Training Centre has proudly been described as “world class” due to its innovative design and state of the art facilities. The new centre promises to provide improved training conditions for the Seeing Eye Dogs through a series of realistic and large scale training spaces.

Focusing on the safety requirements associated with road crossings, public transport and outdoor navigation, the design includes a wide variety of contrasting materials and textures from the urban environment. The inclusion of a train carriage and working traffic lights further enable the dogs and their owners to gain the necessary familiarity and confidence needed to feel comfortable when entering busy public spaces. ­
